Vehicle preparation workflow
AutoHub360 gives UK car dealers a kanban board for the stages between buying a car and having it ready to advertise—built around stages you define, not a template we impose.

Direct answer
Vehicle preparation workflow software tracks a car through the stages a dealership runs it through after purchase and before it's advertised—such as valeting, photography or a mechanical check. AutoHub360 shows every vehicle currently in prep on a kanban board, grouped by stage.
The stages themselves aren't fixed by AutoHub360. Each dealership names, colours, orders and times its own stages, and can change them as its process changes.
What's included
No vehicle should sit forgotten between purchase and advertising. The board makes it obvious what's in progress and who owns it.
Name each stage, choose its colour and order, and set an estimated duration in hours. Add, edit, reorder or deactivate stages whenever your process changes.
A newly added vehicle that isn't published immediately is placed into the first active stage, so nothing sits untracked before a decision is made.
Find a vehicle by title, registration, make or model, or filter the board down to a single stage.
Drag a card to the next column, use the Next Stage button, or jump straight to any stage from a dropdown.
See who a vehicle is assigned to at a glance, and which vehicles are still Unassigned.
In Progress, Unassigned and Ready counts sit above the board, alongside how many stages are configured.
Example, not a template
Here's one dealership's example. Yours might have four stages or ten, in a completely different order.
Received
~2h estimated
Valeting
~4h estimated
Photography
~2h estimated
Ready to advertise
~1h estimated
Configure your own stage names, colours, order and estimated durations in Workflow settings—a minimum of two active stages is required.
On the board
Vehicle, registration, time since it entered the pipeline, and who it's assigned to—or an Unassigned badge if it isn't yet. Summary counts for In Progress, Unassigned and Ready sit above the board.
What this isn't
Every stage move is recorded, but there is currently no timeline view surfacing that history to your team. The estimated duration you set is shown as a reference figure only—it is not compared against actual time in stage, and there's no overdue flag or colour warning.
Completing a workflow closes its tracking record only. It does not change the vehicle's stock status or advertising channels.
Buyer's checklist
The useful question isn't whether a system has a kanban board. It's whether the stages match your real process, and whether the provider is honest about what the board does and doesn't do.
Does the software let you define the exact stages your dealership actually uses, in your own words?
Is a newly purchased vehicle placed into the workflow automatically, without someone remembering to add it?
Can staff see who a vehicle is assigned to, and which vehicles have no owner yet?
Does the provider say plainly whether ageing or overdue vehicles are flagged automatically, rather than implying it when they aren't?
Does finishing prep tracking leave your advertising and stock status exactly where you left them, with no surprise side effects?

The stages are fully dealership-defined. You name each stage, choose its colour and order, and set an estimated duration in hours. A dealership can add, edit, reorder or deactivate stages at any time, with a minimum of two active stages.
Yes. A newly added vehicle that isn't being published immediately is enrolled into the first active workflow stage automatically, so nothing sits untracked before someone has decided how to advertise it.
No. The estimated duration you set for a stage is shown as a reference figure on the board—it is not compared against how long a vehicle has actually been there, and there is no automatic overdue alert or colour warning.
Every stage move is recorded, but there is currently no timeline or history view in the product that surfaces that record to users. What's visible on the board is total time since the vehicle entered the pipeline, not time in its current stage.
No. Marking a workflow complete only closes its tracking record. It doesn't change the vehicle's stock status or advertising channels—those are managed separately from Vehicle Advertising.
